Emergence in cyber-physical systems: potential and risk

摘要: (CPSs) are distributed assemblages of computing, communicating, and physical components that sense their environment, algorithmically assess the incoming information, and affect their physical environment. Thus, they share a common structure with other , and therefore share both the possible benefits and the probable harmful effects of emergent phenomena. Emergence is an often unexpected pattern that arises from the interactions among the individual system components and the environment. In this paper we focus on three major problems concerning emergence in the context of CPSs: how to successfully exploit emergence, how to avoid its detrimental effects in a single CPS, and how to avoid harmful emergence that arises due to unexpected interaction among several independently developed CPSs that are operating in the same environment. We review the state of the research with regard to these problems and outline several approaches that could be used to address them.

Theoretical research and application of petrochemical Cyber-physical Systems

摘要: A petrochemical smart factory is a green, efficient, safe and sustainable modern factory that combines cutting-edge information and communication technology with petrochemical advanced technology and equipment. A Cyber-physical System (CPS) is the infrastructure of a petrochemical smart factory. Based on the future challenges of the petrochemical industry, this paper proposes the definition, connotation and framework of a petrochemical CPS and constructs a CPS system at the enterprise, unit and field levels, respectively. Furthermore, the paper provides theoretical support and implementation reference of a CPS in the petrochemical industry and other industries by investigating the construction practice of a multi-level CPS in the China Petrochemical Corporation (SINOPEC).

新兴智慧城市是城市环境的新一代创新服务,包括交通、能源分布、医疗、环境监测、商务、商业、紧急响应和社会活动。要想实现这种为城市场景服务的各项技术,需要将智慧城市视为一个整体的信息物理融合系统(CPS),这其中包括新的移动软件平台和对治安、安全、隐私和大量信息处理的严格要求。本文旨在确定智慧城市的关键特征,进而讨论了一些由CPS 观点出发而得出的经验教训,并概述了一些空白领域的基础研究内容。

Onmodeling of electrical cyber-physical systems considering cyber security Project supported

摘要: This paper establishes a new framework for modeling electrical cyber-physical systems (ECPSs), integrating both power grids and communication networks. To model the communication network associated with a power transmission grid, we use a mesh network that considers the features of power transmission grids such as high-voltage levels, long-transmission distances, and equal importance of each node. Moreover, bidirectional links including data uploading channels and command downloading channels are assumed to connect every node in the communication network and a corresponding physical node in the transmission grid. Based on this model, the fragility of an ECPS is analyzed under various cyber attacks including denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, replay attacks, and false data injection attacks. Control strategies such as load shedding and relay protection are also verified using this model against these attacks.

随着工业4.0 和智能制造等概念和系统的普及,传统制造业将见证向新模式的转型,以更好地响应用户的需求并实现安全、高效、智能化的操作。在此背景下,本文聚焦于信息物理生产系统(CPPS)的概念,从整体上阐述了CPPS在这一产业转型中的三个关键驱动作用,即数据驱动的生产系统、分布式的智能制造和保证数据安全的集成区块链技术。通过这三个方面的具体技术和系统实现,基于数据驱动的建模和优化,智能信息物理系统将助力流程工业和制造业转型。同时,分布式的智能制造可以更高效地实现产业升级和低碳化发展。区块链技术可以进一步确保数据共享的可靠性和安全性,实现跨子系统的整合。本文详细分析了最近发表的文献研究和行业相关案例支持,并对现有挑战和发展方向进行了总结展望。

摘要: Boosting the resilience of power systems is a core requirement of smart grids. In fact, resilience enhancement is crucial to all critical infrastructure systems. In this study, we review the current research on system resilience enhancement within and beyond smart grids. In addition, we elaborate on resilience definition and resilience quantification and discuss several challenges and opportunities for system resilience enhancement. This study aims to deepen our understanding of the concept of resilience and develop a wide perspective on enhancing the system resilience for critical infrastructures.

Cyberphysical systems development for construction applications

摘要: Cyber–physical systems (CPS) are intended to facilitate the tight coupling of the cyber and physical worlds. Their potential for enhancing the delivery and management of constructed facilities is now becoming understood. In these systems, it is vital to ensure bi-directional consistency between construction components and their digital replicas. This paper introduces the key features of CPS and describes why they are ideally suited for addressing a number of problems in the delivery of construction projects. It draws on examples of research prototypes developed using surveys, field experiments, and prototyping methodologies, to outline the key features and benefits of CPS for construction applications and the approach to their development. In addition, it outlines the lessons learned from developing various systems for the design, construction and management of constructed facilities, which include building component placement and tracking, temporary structures monitoring, and mobile crane safety. The paper concludes that the construction industry stands to reap numerous benefits from the adoption of CPS. It states that the future direction of CPS in construction will be driven by technological developments and the extent to which CPS is deployed in new application areas.

A survey of model-driven techniques and tools for cyber-physical systems

摘要: (CPSs) have emerged as a potential enabling technology to handle the challenges in social and economic sustainable development. Since it was proposed in 2006, intensive research has been conducted, showing that the construction of a CPS is a hard and complex engineering process due to the nature of integrating a large number of heterogeneous subsystems. Among other approaches to dealing with the complex design issues, model-driven design of CPSs has shown its advantages. In this review paper, we present a survey of research on model-driven development of CPSs. We are concerned mainly with the widely used methods, techniques, and tools, and discuss how these are applied to CPSs. We also present comparative analyses on the surveyed techniques and tools from various perspectives, including their modeling languages, functionalities, and the challenges which they address in CPS design. With our understanding of the surveyed methods, we believe that es are an inevitable choice in building CPSs and further research effort is needed in the development of model-driven theories, techniques, and tools. We also argue that a unified modeling platform is needed. Such a platform would benefit research in the academic community and practical development in industry, and improve the collaboration between these two communities.

Human-cyber-physical systems: concepts, challenges, and research opportunities

摘要: In this perspective article, we first recall the historic background of human-cyber-physical systems (HCPSs), and then introduce and clarify important concepts. We discuss the key challenges in establishing the scientific foundation from a system engineering point of view, including (1) complex heterogeneity, (2) lack of appropriate , (3) dynamic black-box integration of heterogeneous systems, (4) complex requirements for functionalities, performance, and quality of services, and (5) design, implementation, and maintenance of HCPS to meet requirements. Then we propose four research directions to tackle the challenges, including (1) and computational theory of HCPS, (2) theories and methods of HCPS , (3) specification and verification of model properties, and (4) software-defined HCPS. The article also serves as the editorial of this special section on cyber-physical systems and summarises the four articles included in this special section.

作为一种特殊的移动自组网(MANET),飞行自组网(FANET)具有在民用无线通信(如5G和6G)和国防工业中使能各种新兴应用的潜力。路由协议在FANET中起着关键作用。但是,在为FANET设计路由协议时,通常假设空中节点随机移动。这对于以任务为导向的FANET(MO-FANET)显然是不合适的。在该网络中,空中节点为了执行某些任务,通常保持良好的编队构型,沿着大致确定的飞行路径从给定的出发点向确定的目标点移动。本文提出了一种基于跨学科集成的新型赛博物理路由协议,基于MOFANET的特定移动模式,充分利用由任务决定的轨迹动力学模型,构建节点重新加入网络和互相分离的时间序列,并将其与每个节点的邻接矩阵一起作为先验信息。通过大量符合真实情况的NS-3 仿真试验,结果表明,与FANET中使用的现有代表性路由协议相比,本文提出的协议在保证更低的开销和更低的平均端到端延迟的同时,保持了相对适度和稳定的网络时延抖动,并实现了更高的数据包传输率(PDR)

虚实融合驱动智慧港口发展研究

摘要:

承担着全球90%以上贸易运输的航运业拥有丰富的数字化场景,通过智慧港口建设赋能航运业、港口与虚实融合技术深度结合形成智慧港口数字底座,成为业界共识。本文界定了智慧港口与虚实融合技术体系的基本内涵,从作业计划、活动实施、设备运维、安全应急、能源绿色5 个方面分析了港口生产运营对虚实融合技术的需求,总结了系统仿真、扩展现实、信息物理系统、数字孪生、平行系统、元宇宙6 种虚实融合技术图谱及其在智慧港口中的应用场景。在梳理发展思路、凝练科学问题的基础上,论证提出了虚实融合驱动智慧港口高质量发展的“13531”体系框架,涵盖技术体系发展定位、关键技术发展方向、重点领域研究方向等。从深化应用、政策激励、科技示范、人才培养等方面提出了发展建议,以期为稳健推动虚实融合技术体系在智慧港口中的工程应用提供先导性参考。

Smart manufacturing systems for Industry 4.0: Conceptual framework, scenarios, and future perspectives

Information and communication technology is undergoing rapid development, and many disruptive technologies, such as cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence, have emerged. These technologies are permeating the manufacturing industry and enable the fusion of physical and virtual worlds through cyber-physical systems (CPS), which mark the advent of the fourth stage of industrial production (i.e., Industry 4.0). The widespread application of CPS in manufacturing environments renders manufacturing systems increasingly smart. To advance research on the implementation of Industry 4.0, this study examines smart manufacturing systems for Industry 4.0. First, a conceptual framework of smart manufacturing systems for Industry 4.0 is presented. Second, demonstrative scenarios that pertain to smart design, smart machining, smart control, smart monitoring, and smart scheduling, are presented. Key technologies and their possible applications to Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing systems are reviewed based on these demonstrative scenarios. Finally, challenges and future perspectives are identified and discussed.

作为新一代工业模式的工业4.0旨在提升生产灵活性,也将继续提高企业生产效率,保证更高的产品质量以及培养承担大规模定制的能力。因此,它能够使企业在短时间内生产出更高质量的产品,以应对日益个性化的产品带来的挑战。在工业4.0模式中,智能制造发挥着重要的作用。典型的资源被转换成智能实体,以便它们能够在智能环境中感知、行动和行为。为了能充分理解在在工业4.0背景下的智能制造,本文对智能制造、物联网(IoT)支持制造和云制造等相关课题进行了综合评述,在我们已有的分析基础上对其中的相似之处和不同点进行了重点探讨。在文中我们还回顾了一些用于实现智能制造的关键技术,如物联网、网络物理系统(CPS)、云计算、大数据分析(BDA)以及信息和通信技术(ICT)。之后我们将介绍全球智能制造业的发展动向,包括来自不同国家的政府战略计划以及来自欧盟、美国、日本和中国的主要跨国公司的战略计划。最后,我们提出其当前所面临的挑战和未来的研究方向。本文所讨论的概念将为实现备受期待的第四次工业革命带来新的思路。

摘要: Cyber-physical systems (CPSs) are becoming increasingly important in safety-critical systems. (PRA) is an essential step in the safety assessment process to guarantee the quality of a system in the early phase of system development. Human factors like the physical environment are the most important part of particular risk assessment. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the safety of the system considering human factor and physical factor. In this paper, we propose a new (PRM) to improve the modeling ability of the . An architecture-based PRA method is presented to support safety assessment for the AADL model of a cyber-physical system. To simulate the PRM with the proposed PRA method, model transformation from PRM to a deterministic and stochastic Petri net model is implemented. Finally, a case study on the power grid system of CPS is modeled and analyzed using the proposed method.

摘要: 某些关键任务系统(MCS)的故障可能导致生命损失、环境破坏和(或)成本升高。因此,识别新故障和定期维护是保证MCS可靠运行的关键。依据实际生产过程中的指标来判断,是一种实用的故障识别和预测方法。基于监测系统特定运行模式下通用信号特征的统计变化,旨在开发一种主动故障诊断和预测方法。本文提出一种基于系统信号表现的故障识别新方法,利用了系统运行模式的动态管理,以及多源异构信号源的同步处理与表征。通过研究不同操作模式下的系统性能,提高故障诊断和预测的可靠性。通过正常与故障运行之间的信号特征统计偏差组成的故障指标矩阵,推断故障及其生成机理;提出“故障指标”概念,用作信息物理系统中即插即用的故障诊断与预测。实验结果表明该方法可以自动诊断MCS中的故障,为预防性维护决策支持系统的开发提供了支撑。
